take action and help those experiencing the tragedies that we only bear witness to. supplying funds to organizations and individuals working directly with those impacted is a great place to start. think hard about how much you are truly able to give, as it is usually more than we admit to ourselves at first. work donations in to your budget as you would your netflix subscription or morning latte, and tell your friends to do the same.
…trans youth in texas and beyond
the recent bill passed in texas is just the latest in a string of anti-trans bills that are causing incredible harm to trans youth and their families. while large national lgbtq+ organizations are great, during times like this it’s important to give money to local grassroots organizations that are providing face to face support to people affected by these bills.

the unprovoked, imperialistic attack on Ukraine by putin’s russia is taking lives, destroying livelihoods, and displacing hundreds of thousands of ukrainians. sanctions imposed by the united states may help in the long run but do nothing to help individuals struggling right now.

there is still a genocide going on in ethiopia. over the past year+ the war in the tigray region of ethiopia has caused a full scale humanitarian crisis, displacing over a million people resulting in famine and illness amongst the refugees.
